They Have Come For Us Now
they have come for us now
i always knew they would
the bitter older men –
who sup brews in forgettable pubs
they have come for us now
they have –
duly and dutifully –
read their propaganda sheet
and being told what to think
now, now they come for us
we are next on their list
because they have been told –
that as public sector workers –
we work from home
and we are paid extra to do it..
(we aren’t)
but they have read it,
there in both white and black
and now,
it is the public sector –
that comes under their attack
