In Built Device
do you believe –
that whatever you grasp
will see you –
complete those hardy tasks
do you think –
that people will achieve
do you really know?
do you really believe?
i wonder –
if an inbuilt device –
straps down your self belief
and places it in a vice
is it as loud as lions –
or as quiet as mice?
i think –
there is a part –
that folds in on itself
collapsible,
a part that will eventually melt
as self image –
tightens its spangly belt
so do you believe
or do you ask for help?
has personality stood up
or always knelt?
is the strange mixture of this world
keenly felt?
what is wrong,
and what is right
i wonder if we are all controlled
by an uncontrolled in built device
