Merely Chance
growing up was made in a shed
by ill hands and personalities easily led
morals,
were drawn on the back –
of old fashioned custard tins
and several of my decades were put in a bin
where to begin?
where to forge life,
when life is a partner who does not know how to dance
and everything about it’s very existence
is merely chance
