Work of Art
He likes to show off –
the woman he married and calls his wife.
Apparently,
she is a work of art,
unlike the banality of his previous life.
He,
he puts her on show because,
the rewards reflect upon him.
Look at my life, my wife,
this carefully posed piece of art.
The lack of authenticity –
can never tear the illusion apart.
He likes to show her off.
but If she is a work of art,
then he is the frame of insecurity.
