The Weight Of Ignorance
The weight of ignorance
will cause them to drown.
There will be no elephant’s memory.
They are destined
to roll around in their own minds
because
their ignorance comes
with a definite thud.
They have forgotten
the things that they never knew,
like the times that passed
and how they could never
paint the sky blue.
The weight of ignorance,
it is heavy,
but it was made to be carried by you
