veering between extremes
like the pinball machine where –
the pinball is never sure of its means

keep me dutifully occupied,
in tasks to do
do not let me stare out of windows
just drowning in the view

i am sitting here with your things
your paperwork, your wallet and phone

its platform destinations
the timetables never kept to
the way you would roam as the likely suspect
