Real Life has Lost its Publishing Rights

everyone wants to be my prophet
and they all want to lead
they hit with me with morality
they ask me to believe
but it is not me
so it must be them…
they quickly proclaim
real life has lost its publishing rights
and boxing matches
become internal fights
everyone says that they alone have the keys
the promised land
all the natural highs
and though they claim
there is no pain and it is bathed in golden sunlight
i am left wary,
does any of of this actually feel right?
people base it all
on a click and a like,
everyone wants to be your prophet
