Twentieth Century
i am looking outside
does not look too clean
i heard someone say –
they had the twentieth century blues
sometimes i know what they mean
with microchips in mind,
we can have a twentieth century dream
i hear someone say –
they had cured another disease
there will be another on the way soon
to set the population into panic
and describe today’s morals as a mess
we have all been living –
in the glow of twentieth century excess
the spaceships they made are dwindling now
twentieth century ending looming soon
the cost is massive,
but we put someone back on the moon
i am looking outside
and i can so many good things
the product of the twentieth century
human beings –
from victorian dreams
i have got my mass market product
but it is no to overpriced shoes
i have got a chance to make something –
of the twenty first century
whilst i hate the twentieth century blues
it is so important to you and me
we have lived live in an age of change
the twentieth century
