I know That Person (They Seem a Lot Like Me)

i know that person
they seem a lot like me
a version that
exists in a past that i have rescripted
a version that i thought was unbound
but now i see was quite restricted
i read,
all those words
from so many years ago
i know that person
is that really me?
all i want to do is give that person a hug
and make it all okay
gavie advice, such as,
do not waste your days
they will pass by quickly
and chances only happen once
life flips, spins, changes in moments
not drawn out drama serials
i know that person
if i could reach back
and pull me through
it is the first thing i would do
