Scrapbook

we are all weighed down
by our complication
but,
our complications are never weighed
we all stagger
and fumble,
with a bundle of complications
we all have a scrapbook
of personal situations
do we open it? or do we keep it closed?
wearing complications,
like unwanted hand-me-down clothes
dare i look inside the scrapbook?
for it has photographs of memories
some of which i barely took
it has lines of words
and feelings just like fishing hooks
we are all weighed down
by life experience
its weight is often somewhat immense
it is time to change these complications
it is time to tackle the scrapbook
perhaps,
even dare to open it and take a look
