Ex Girlfriends
all my ex girlfriends
they seem to dislike me
they seem lost in time
all my parents are memories
all my keys –
never unlock my knees
i still walk lame
all my ex girlfriends
seem to have grown sideways
one or two, still remain
some are very special
one, i will not forget her name
one of my ex girlfriends –
had a child as a child
and i spoke before –
she knocked on my front door
saw me years later
and felt the need to start again
i did not really care
she did not really care
you would think this would say –
just a tiny bit about me
well, perhaps it does
how do i know?
