Can’t Really Function
can’t really function
thoughts of you near
a cinemascope of feelings
and images playing in my head
can’t really function
i am frightened and i am scared
my wardrobe stays the same
does it matter what i wear
can’t really function
a figure from the past
has tied a sail to my mast
and i cannot get away
can’t really function
to many other factors
to many outside influences
affect my daily performance
can’t really function
i am facing an audience
and the rules laid out
they just do not make any sense
can’t really function
because i know there is nothing i can do
the thought i have for you
will remain locked away
