Every Question
when asked a question
you duck and dive
hauled back to childhood
when you felt sick inside
when asked a question
you are quick to lie
hauled back to childhood
when you were made to cry
you present,
with a smile upon your face
middle england’s daughter
without a bitter taste
underneath the insecurities chase
in an unending race
which sees an opened place
one of fear and contempt
when asked a question
you fail to present
you always change direction
nothing is ever really meant
