Laugh

i need you for your laugh
i need you so much
i need you for that laugh
that laugh opened a door
that laugh painted a room
that laugh enlightened a soul
that laugh gave some direction
and pointed the way towards home
i need someone who can laugh
a laugh is attractive
as is the genuine belief we should live
both are hard to find
both never leave my mind
i need you for your laugh
that laugh lights a fire
that laugh makes it clam
that laugh provides a blanket
and keeps somebody warm
i am left needing –
that is better than a hard time
better than being left bleeding
