Love Should be a Revolution

love should be a revolution
not a step back
love should change –
everything but your name
you should risk it all
you should be in the frame
be prepared to fall
you tell them you love them
and i know –
emotions are fireworks
that explode in colours

love should be a change
it should sweep you off your feet
mess up your life –
turn it upside down and never be neat
it should burn so bright –
and make you feel so complete
it should be every picture
you dreamt of drawing
every great film –
you dreamt of seeing
it should unshackle you
and send doubt and insecurity fleeing
