Bleached Piece of Seaside
if you want me –
to run to your arms
you are going to need –
a bigger trap
i live my life in freedom
and i do not run back
why don’t you take me –
and run away
to this bleached piece –
of seaside
with its victorian fancies
it is true –
the horse and carriage
has moved on
but if you come here
we can start to run
if you want me –
to collapse into a heap
at your star studded feet
you will need to –
make a greater a leap
