Real Stuff

have you got the real stuff?
have you got the midas touch
life can become a terrible joke
and it can feel like a hoax
standing still deceiving the people
hidden by your long cloak
not the made up things you see
have you got the real stuff?
have you got the babies you crave
do you make it alright
when there is so much to be saved
i know what is there
you have coloured your hair
but sarcasm seeps through
and i watch you stare
with those changing clothes
got a ring on your finger
and a stud in your nose
my life goes on, does not linger
have you got the real stuff
not the made up things you seem to
