Dipping a Toe In

what does it mean
i am thinking of you
i even have my subconscious –
talking to me in a dream
it is not a case of forever
but i am thinking of you
and remembering being together
i either do nothing at all
or think about you all the time
i do not know what is worse
i do not want to get attached
because i am scared of getting hurt
but i do not want to remain detached
because i really like you
and i want you to know how i feel
because i am aware of you
and the feeling you have for me
i would like us to have a chance
what does it mean
all this and so much more
now you are away
and i am thinking of you
i hope it goes further
