Cloudy Monday Mornings – Written Monday 24th February 1997

Cloudy Monday Mornings

cloudy monday mornings
need a hot cup of tea
i wonder who i am today
i wonder if i am me
cloudy monday mornings
on a new day dawning
sit in the february chill
till the frost clears
and see if you still feel the cold
daytime television is out of my scope
life is just a ringing telephone
how do i cope?
need to watch my step
i cannot always see the cracks
sometimes it is harder to forget
cloudy monday mornings
not a penny to my name
and you are in my brain
i wonder how we hold on
cloudy monday mornings
need a hot cup of tea
i wonder who will be there
i wonder if it is me
