Sunrise

i just want a sunrise
i want a puddle to jump in
and a rainbow in your eyes
i am not super human
i am only human
i just want a sunrise
to come up soon
i want a chance or luck
to make it now
a sunrise would explain how
a sunrise would signal something
i want a slide to climb
a swing to swing on
and a milkshake to feel fine
a sunrise would be perfect
not so suspect
a masked stranger
taking only hope and not danger
i just want a sunrise
pretty soon i hope
it will mean i can get by
