A Little Girl
a little girl
stares through smeared memories
a little girl
stands in the corner
hiding from a big bad wolf
whilst refusing to join in a game of hopscotch
a little girl
attempts to break free
tear up
the bones of low self esteem
a little girl
tries to grow up
from the expected role
a little role
sadly, dreams feel like poison
and for her, never unfold
