Driven
what keeps you going?
what keeps the demons from your night
being hurtful in your head
as you lie restlessly in your bed
why do i hope when i know it is lost
why do i bother when i know there is not a choice
because the thought of us
is just of the things that keeps me going
stops me going crazy in the head
as i lie restlessly in my bed
my ears still ringing with the words you said
what keeps you going?
as a human being
as a soul in search of a body
why do i hope so much?
why do i still want an impossible dream
why do i still think of a touch
coming directly from inside of you
because it keeps me going
and i cannot stop feeling the way i do
cannot stop feeling for you
