Hand Me Downs
it is no wonder –
that she has been labelled –
as not very bright
after all, her hand me downs
have never look right
you fed her a diet –
of your fears and tears
you taught her nothing
and held her back –
labelled her with a condition
that she never had
those hand me downs
that we have from mum and dad
it is not wonder
that she takes these –
to her school
if only parents would use –
all the available tools
she is a princess
not something to be assessed by fools
