The Highway of Life
i was walking down the highway of life—
i didn’t know whether to turn left or right.
one road led to happiness,
the other, to desperation and plight.
on the left was happiness,
but what a pity—
i turned right.
i worked so hard to make things happen,
growing too fast, too soon.
but i knew this dark chapter
wouldn’t last—
just like the rest of life,
it was a farce.
the highway of life is dangerous,
especially without care.
