The Highway of Life – Written December 1992 (Aged 17)

The Highway of Life

i was walking down the highway of life
i did not know whether to turn left or right
i know that one way was happiness
and the other was desperation and plight
on the left was happiness,
which was a pity because i turned right
i worked so hard to make things happen
i grew to fast but i knew my really bad scene –
would never last
it was just like the rest of life, it was a farce
the highway of life is dangerous
especially without care
