Planet Thing
I just want
to take you home —
to take you home,
all alone.
You are
the sweet body mover,
the heart‑stung
emotion soother.
You are
the planet
amongst the stars,
beautiful
alien‑written poetry
etched
in the craters
of Mars.
In the morning,
when I wake,
I see you
dancing
through the universe,
high
in the sky.
In the morning,
when I wake,
I know
you are there,
because my fragile
reality
starts to shake.
