Saving Someone
can you love someone
who struggles to love themselves
someone who, is, beautiful
but clings to the shelf
someone who does –
not like who they are
and wants to be somebody else
can you be with someone
who can not see the shine
someone so fearful
always looking behind
fearing that they –
that they will be used again
can i hold them
and stem the pain
can i show them light
and the joy of living once again?
