Moving Off Centre Stage – Written August 1999 (Aged 24)

Moving Off Centre Stage

life changes,
in the blink of your eyes
moving on,
with the clouds up in the sky
life changes,
and sometimes you follow it
with all the excitement,
that you can muster
caught in a new storm
yet, not feeling flustered
sometimes you embrace change
like you are meeting your best friend
the one,
you have known all your life
sometimes phases in your life
just have to be left behind
no matter how painful that may be
life carries a lot of luggage
and when you are taking that journey into the future
not all of it can be taken
some of it will get left behind
and as life changes,
i see others moving off the centre stage
and as sad as that is,
it means we are entering a new phase
