Odd Shaped Box
one charm bracelet
a moderately priced watch
memories –
in an odd shaped box
houses now sold
family stories now told
one charm bracelet
a moderately priced watch
thoughts –
in an odd shaped box
i mine my childhood
for the unfound gems
and i do get there –
in the end
because it is never all bad
or indifferent –
there are happy memories
and moments well meant
but trauma is ever present
and it is wearing odd socks
one charm bracelet
a moderately priced watch
all the memories now –
kept in an odd shaped box
