Her Eyes Are Full of Confessions

she carries a sadness
i think,
she would like to put it down
she hears a song
but i think she would like to change the sound
her eyes
are full of confessions
and they reflect
some untidy life lessons

she carries a sadness
a heaviness,
she would like to put it down
she has dreams
i know she would like them to be homeward bound
she is at the court
of heavy set clowns
she dances,
awaiting the delivery of a beautiful ball gown
