Caught My Eye – Written Wednesday 11th January 2006 (Aged 30)

Caught My Eye

they caught my eye
and i am not sure why
beauty is only skin deep
but that is not true
it is box of secrets that you keep
give me a reason
give me sleep
a perspective to teach
they caught my look
and they left me
to write a solid book
i am not sure why
but their smile
was reflected in the stormy sky
give me hope
give me coffee
a reason to elope
a one man band out to sea
they left me at a station
i ruled my head
but not the situation
that remains in my bed
