The Architect (Originally Untitled) – Written October 2000 (Aged 25)

The Architect

for every time you fall apart
there is an architect somewhere,
waiting to redesign you
and a builder somewhere,
waiting to rebuild you
for every your make-up runs
there is a make-up artist somewhere
ready to paint your smile back on
for every time you dream in grey,
it is okay, somewhere,
there is someone, somewhere,
waiting to give you inspiration
today’s bad situation,
is just tomorrow’s reevaluation
today’s rain is tomorrow’s rainbow
for every time you break down,
there is a mechanic someone,
waiting to start you up again
for every time you get lost
there is a guide somewhere,
waiting to show you the right direction
for every time you fall apart
there is an architect somewhere,
waiting to redesign you
and a builder somewhere,
waiting to rebuild you
