Three Different Faces – Written Friday 1st September 2000 (Aged 25)

Three Different Faces

three months of changes
and three different faces
the genre of despair
is leading me down memory lane
i of course, held you in cold rain
knowing that things never stay the same
you know that these last few months
have seen so much change
three months of changes
and three different faces
all telling me different things
one of whom still has me
and one of whom i still need
and the third is her own worst enemy
and she will never believe
this year has gone so quick
it has never really been that slow
in two years time i am sure i will look back
and wonder, where did it all go?
three different faces
closing doors that could never be open
but you know, change is an express train
and here it is, leaving once again
