The Root
it seems i have lost my dreams
and i have lost my way
well, thanks for your support
you were a parent in a million
although i guess,
things were ‘not too bad’
thanks for your support
why couldn’t you just be dad?
why did you want to tear me apart?
why were you so destructive
why did you admit –
to wanting to destroy me
and want to kill my will to live
that is where my anger lies
that is its root
well dad, here i am,
i am your son and you do not know me
you could never reach my hands
it seems that you ruined it all
thanks dad, i will remember you
when the past has been forgotten
but those apples do not suddenly ripen
not once they have become rotten
