Riviera Heights
do not put a clamp –
on my goodness
do not place –
a parking ticket
on my windless screams
there is not a stamp
trampled into my dreams
do not let age –
dull my spirits
and put my spirit in a cage
like actors –
we all need range
so many times –
i have been driven out
or to tears
and somewhere close –
to the hub of my fears
do not stop us –
from reaching riviera heights
let us perform
let us quench our stage fright
cheapness only sparkles
at the moral impasse
give us strength and give us meaning
give us, our box of delights
let us live a life well lived
let us find riviera heights
