Success
they pile on the pressure
and we scream –
to be let out
in this life –
is this what it is all about?
i hear people
and i hear this shout
so we hold our loved one
and cradle the love
and the stability –
they provide us
this is a long way from youth
but there is –
little sanctuary there
we just want –
that personal success
not the constant interrogation
where we work under duress
