Paper Cuts
can you not just enjoy –
your heritage and culture
without assuming –
it makes you better –
than everybody else
and they say,
”i am not a racist, but…”
why is it that nationalism
only comes with paper cuts
i am british they say
but what does that say –
about me and my life chances
nationalism and patriotism
is falsely convinced by colour
and leaves the door firmly shut
why is it that nationalism
only comes with paper cuts
