Do You Blame Yourself As Well? – Written Wednesday 1st July 2020 (Aged 45)

Do You Blame Yourself As Well?

i blame myself
but remain unconvinced –
others ever do
but surely, others must feel like me
do you?

i am leaning on dreams
i cup my ear to the wall
and hear only human screams
i made a house
and swung on its original beams

i blame myself
and think,
well it must be me
and that it must be true
but surely, others must feel like me
do you?

i say, yes, it is me
you know, square peg in a round hole
i kick back then out
and then i score own goals
i adopt a self degrading point of view
and i am sure, very sure others feel like me
but do you?
