Life is a Revolution
life is a revolution
will you join in
you read with blank eyes
what was it,
that died inside?
life is a revolution
the colours on the flags
our dreams,
in jumble sale bags
you listen with hollow ears
and when sleep seems far away
taken by fear
you long for another day
when the children ache,
they ache for better words to say
life is a revolution
and they cannot feel it
why can’t you join in
what was it,
that left you so ill
what tainted out rivers,
when we just wanted to feel?
