labels, modern society feasts on them
they cover up older labels,
usually the word, responsibility
society has baulked,
and just not moved,
it has lost its head
in a barrage of irresponsible news
labels, the scourge of the classes
the sign marked, ‘responsibilities’
is the one it always passes
children chained to identities
that they never chose,
it is no wonder they are angry
and it is no wonder that it shows
labels, irresponsbility placed by people
while they feed their children rubbish
as they climb a church steeple
and find a god to kiss,
children starved of confidence
self respect is so quickly missed
the labels mount up, it is an endless list
