Somehow Somewhere
somehow,
somewhere,
i have carved out this life
from never ending circles
and cold cold roundabouts
somehow,
somewhere,
i have found myself in this place
no longer looking out of classroom windows
but still with the cheeky smile on my face
somehow,
somewhere,
to the early days of pornography
to dreams of vanished celebrity
and then into a calypso reality where i have remained
somehow,
somewhere,
there was a time when we dressed
and decided to grow out our hair
there was a time of much less respect
and a time when we could find no one there
somehow,
somewhere,
i just could not tell you how
but i have found myself there
sometimes loss in skullduggery and dreams
and sometimes look for much more care
