Could Have Done Without the Depression

could have done –
without the depression
suddenly,
i am not longer interested –
in my ideals
and now it is hard to get excited
about the way i feel
i should have done something –
about all this a long time ago
but i had to learn
and i had to grow
and this is my truthful confession
could have done –
without the depression
