Home Early – Written Between February and June 1995 (Aged 20)

Home Early

i was home early
she picked flowers in my garden
she was nothing more than a memory –
that simply did not belong to me
yet i could still see her clearly
must have been the way i was feeling
thought about my dad and what he took
time has been good to me, it is healing
looked outside, took another look
early in the morning, home at two
it has been a good night
made a little better by you
i think a lot of everything, including you
yes, i really do
