Statuette
i am fed up of you sitting there
on your self made pedestal
i am fed up of you thinking –
i am your fool
you are just a, ‘girl’ –
with childlike emotions
who, when they do not get their own way
they throw childlike tantrums
i could have been yours –
not so long ago
but you let me go
so it is up to you if you now fall
i am not working part time
just to suit your needs
so get off your pedestal
i am not so sure i like who you are
i am not sure you are who you think you are
i am not so sure of you
do not be so damn sad
just get off you pedestal
you have been up there far too long
you are no statuette
please get off, and try to earn a little respect
