Surface Cracks
too often,
the surface comes loose
the inside exposed
like ill fitting shoes
too often,
people cover up the cracks
head down
no looking back
but it seeps
and it causes decay
the persistent tick
that will not go away
too often,
people try to hide
like the child
that covers it eyes
thinking no one can see them
