Poverty Tourist
they want to live with the, ‘real people’
to experience the, ‘streets’
but they buy purpose built apartments
arranged so neat,
far from the, ‘scavenging crowds’
beneath their laminated feet
they want to live with the, ‘real people’
to experience the, ‘streets’
they build locked door communities
they make poverty tourism so complete
James Garratt – June 2009
