Kinship
it is hard to know –
where to go –
when the way –
is blocked by snow
someone once told me –
that though it rains
you will learn to live again
and when you smile
after a while,
the world will not seem so bad
it is hard to know
or to put into words
when kinship touches your soul
and then it comes rolling along
i thought i would be old
even before i met you
i thought i would be cold
and my story already sold
i sail a strange ship,
now it is touched by kinship
