The Chair of Days Gone By

i have lost some memories
and i have started looking for them
i wonder
where they are
and where i last had them
i want to recline
in the chair of days gone by
when the days were doused
in the colours of a youthful sky
maybe i should ask those
who whom some memories
are joyfully shared
maybe they were given away
to people, who at the time
had so much less to say
i have lost some memories
did they just run away
or did they just fall down a drain?
did they take to their bed
because suddenly, they felt the strain
