The Garden Has a Tall Tree
i suspect
there is no room in your life
for the likes of me
the bike is in the shed
and the garden has a tall tree
self employed
is perfectly employed
to demonstrate success
the photographs cannot stop smiling
i just wonder
what are they really hiding
see my feelings
feel my words
hear my pain
it feels so very terse
first names become a legend
when a nickname accents every verse
making up for a past
that limps
with a permanently signed cast
where am i now
it is like it never happened
but there will be time to reflect, i guess
and when you appear,
to have it all
people can seem so very small
when it appears you are having a ball
