Do They Set You Free?

do they set you free?
i am sorry –
that,
it was with me
to which you felt enchained
sorry,
that it is someone else to blame
so it was me,
who spent too long –
quietly digging a grave
to which –
you felt,
your personality was always enslaved
i am sorry –
that it was him
who apparently sets you free
perhaps you need to look closer to home
before you decide
it is other who chain you
or even set you free
just as they want to be your escape
because,
your chains were not do with me
